Only what you send us yourself, by email, on WhatsApp, or by bringing it into the studio: your name, how to contact you, what you would like done, and the photographs themselves.

This website collects nothing itself. There is no form on it, no sign-up and no analytics. We do not track you, and we do not sell or share your details with anybody for marketing.

The one exception is the map on our contact page, which is supplied by Google. Loading that page means loading something from Google, and Google may set a cookie when it does. Every other page on this site loads nothing from anybody else.

To work out a price for you, to do the work you have asked for, to send it back to you, and to keep a record of the job in case you come back to us later.

We use it for nothing else. We will only show your photograph publicly — on this website or on social media — if you have told us that we may, and you can take that permission back at any time.

Where a job has to be printed or bound outside the studio, the finished pages go to our printing partner. Nobody else sees your photographs. We do not sell them, and we do not use them to train any software.

We keep your files while the work is going on, and for two years afterwards so that we can reprint for you without you having to send everything again. After that we delete them.

If you would rather we deleted them as soon as your order is finished, say so and we will.

You can, at any time, ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you
• correct anything that is wrong
• delete your photographs and your details
• stop showing your photograph publicly

Family photographs usually have other people in them, including children who are now grown. By sending a photograph you are telling us that it is yours to send and that you are content for us to work on it.

Where a photograph shows a child, we will not put it on this website or on social media without permission from a parent or guardian, whatever else has been agreed.

Originals brought to the studio are scanned and kept in one place, and returned to you. Digital files are kept on our own machines. We are a small studio and we treat your photographs the way we would treat our own, but no method of storage is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if anything goes wrong.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your photographs or your details, please tell us first at kannadickalstudio1970@gmail.com. If we cannot put it right, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
