Since 1976
One of the oldest studios in the area
K.K. George opened the studio in Ranni in 1976. We developed every photograph ourselves, in our own darkroom at the back — nothing was ever sent away to a laboratory.
He taught the trade to a great many people in this area over the years.

The Queen of the Eastern Hill Lands — a town on both banks of the Pamba, seven-tenths forest and ninety-five per cent literate, in one of the most emigrated-from districts in Kerala. On average, every household here has somebody living abroad.
That is the other reason we do this work. The photographs stay in the house in Ranni. The children who are in them live somewhere else now.
